Congrats April Johnson on the new Turbo AC's 7" vinyl record jacket (Sweden)

For all you vinyl heads we are glad to announce the much delayed release of "Fistful of Fury" 7" on Sweden's own Alleycat Records. The new single is dubbed by the Alternative Press as an "instant classic."

Recorded in New York, pressed and produced in Sweden, and the jacket printed in the Czech Republic...You can see that there were alot of players in this game. Thank you April for your understanding and patience.

    Cool man!!

Recently, I was in Las Vegas as a photography instructor for http://www.supershoots.com/team.html and hooked up with a few of my Vintage Pin-up model friends that were in town for the http://www.rockabillyrodreunion.com/.

Heidi, Sabina, and Melinda were the pin-up contest judges and were also in town promoting the release of their http://www.pinupplayingcards.com site.

They wanted a signature "Photos By Dolph" style shoot to use on their website, fliers, posters, etc.

On such short notice, this is what I came up with.
    Whatcha think?

*Winner* Best Photography at Dragon*Con Art Show
    And then it happened:
Sunday night at the Art Show Awards Banquet, I recieved the award for "Best Photography." Way cool.

Not only kinda cool on the resume, but now I am a member of the group of elite artists and never have to go through a juried competion at Dragon*Con again.

I sold three prints over the weekend and it must of been the interest surrounding them that put me over the top in the judging...
(each print signed, numbered, and limited run)

    For the gamer nerds...
    Title: "Boys will be Boys"

    For the Star Wars geeks...
    Title: "Chew Hefner"

    For the Goth kids...

    Dragon*Con Atlanta...
Back in May, I was chosen to display my artwork at the prestegious Juried
Dragon*Con Art Show this year. There are thousands of artist applicants
each year, however, with the limited hanging space available, only about
150 are accepted. (This was my first time applying.)

Dragon*Con is the nation's largest Sci-Fi, fantasy, anime convention in
the country. Every Labor Day weekend, close to 35,000 attendees invade
Atlanta's Hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton. (more Klingons than you can shake a
stick at) and most go through the art show at least once to check it out.
That's cool. (Besides, they ALL have money...D*C is like their pilgramage
    each year.)

I grew tired of seeing the same artwork year after year...images of chicks
with swords, or fairies riding on dinosaurs, or pin-ups with a wizard in the
background...???...so I decided to do something different for a
    change.

If you are around, look for my new campy, sexy, Sci-Fi photo exhibit.
(ooooh Boobies) including...sexy nerds, Female Stormtroopers
    (Fem-troopers), cheesy 50's Sci-Fi Pinups, and a rollerskating Alien
waitress at a futuristic drive-in. Of course all shot with humor and a
twist. And of course...all for sale. And my buddy Tsubasa will be
exhibiting there also across the aisle from me. His stuff rocks man.

Hope you can make it out, and look for me there...I will be the one in a
    costume. haha

    Cheers, timothy

    Update from Chicago...
    </a>
Playboy model and Echo Gallery owner - Veronika Kotlajich

Had a most excellent time in Chicago for the artist reception at the Echo Gallery a few weekends ago. It was a HUGE success.

Partied with some cool new friends - Pin-Up and Fantasy/Erotic artist Edgar Espino (Heavy Metal Magazine) and painter Marque Strickland (he did the movie poster of Johnny Depp for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) Both of them are also exhibiting new works in the gallery.
Edgar was totally blown away by my photograph of Susi bending over picking up her panties in the laundromat. ha ha I kept busting him trying to peek up under her skirt.

The photo with Veronika above was taken right when we arrived at the gallery. To see what I really look like after talking shop all night and roughly a gallon of chardonnay, go here to see more photos from the gallery opening.

    Good times...

If you are in the area, go check it out. The exhibit runs for 2 months and there is some really groovy shit in there.

Photo Exhibit at the Echo Gallery in Chicago
I have been asked to display my work at the Echo Gallery
"Chicago's most provocative gallery" for a 2 month run beginning March 19th.

Check out the other painters, sculptors, photographers, and multi-media
artist that will be there also. Entertain your brain...It's good for ya.

Funny...My parents think it's kinda ironic that I am asked to be in an exhibition titled
"March To The Beat Of Your Own Drum." My dad told me that he has been saying that about me as
    long as he can remember.

    Cheers, tim
